Compact Solar Water Heaters

Low pressure series
These are passive systems since they do not use pumps to increase circulation pressure. Water flows through the system when warm water rises as cooler water sinks. The collector must be installed below the storage tank so that warm water will rise into the tank.
They work best in areas where temperatures rarely fall below freezing, and are to be used in applications where water consumption is not very high such as domestic units. Low pressure systems are the most economical.

Pre-heated High pressure series
These systems use copper coil as a heat exchanger and work in all applications where water consumption is medium. In terms of price Pre-heated pressure systems are like a hybrid between low pressure and high pressure systems.

High pressure series
This is the most efficient of all the series and works on high pressure. Water or a non-freezing heat-transfer fluid circulates through the collectors and a heat exchanger. This heats the water that then flows into the home. High pressure systems are popular in climates prone to freezing temperatures.
These work in all applications where water consumption is high. This system is also the most reliable in terms of continuous hot water availability. In terms of price High Pressure systems are the high range.
